The mighty Land Cruiser

Image
The master of the road, boss with no match, it moves with such ease, Conquering rough terrain, with such poise and please, It navigates the bad roads, and floods with no fear, And crosses raging rivers, with no care or tear.  With wheels that grip and an engine that roars, No obstacle too big, no river too wide, Through mud, rocks, and dirt, it embrace it all with pride.  With each turn, a sense of awe, As the boss moves with grace, defying the law, Its power and strength, a wonder to behold, A mystery unraveled, its story told.  It serves as a rural ambulance, a savior of lives,  Ensuring aid reaches where it thrives,  School supplies too, it delivers with pride,  To educate young minds far and wide.  Police officers depend on its speed,  To maintain law and order with it like the force of law,  Rural farmers, too, owe it their gratitude,  As it transports loads of coffee bags with fortitude, sustaining their family household inc...

Image
The sun rises on a brand new day, Brings light to chase the night away, A promise of a fresh start is here, Hope shines bright, no need to fear. Birds sing a song of joy and peace, Nature's music that will never cease, The air is cool, the breeze is light, It's a morning that feels just right. Hope blooms like flowers in the spring, A ray of sunshine on everything, The future looks brighter than before, With opportunities knocking at the door. So let us embrace this new morn, With open hearts, let hope be born, For every morning brings a chance, To live, to love, to dance.

Battle of Finschhafen - 1943

Image
Battle of Finschhafen The Landing at Scarlet Beach on the 22nd of September 1943 marked the start of the Battle of Finschhafen, which saw Australian and American troops perform a pincer attack on the town of Finschhafen. This battle, and the subsequent counterattack was part of the Huon Peninsula Campaign that took place in New Guinea during WWII. The Japanese had been expecting an Allied attack on Finschhafen since July 1943, and Japanese high command had deployed a mixed force from three divisions, totalling approximately 5,000 men in a series of defensive positions around the town. Allied intelligence underestimated this force, as being only between 300 – 2,100 strong. On the 22nd of September, the Australians began establishing a beach head at Scarlet Beach and its surrounding coves, before commencing the advance on Finschhafen. Advancing through thick jungle with limited vehicular support, the soldiers were often forced to carry the stores themselves due to a shor...

The tragic story of Boship and Jenelyn... who's lesson? Unfortunately, Boship can't learn from his mistake, he now faces the brunt of the law. So is our belove d sister, Jenelyn, like many before her, sadly they no longer breath. Then who's lesson is it? Definitely, the protest march and all the energy gathered and forged at this time against GBV should not go in vain. There is a saying that goes, "A wise man learns from his own mistake but the wisest learns from other people's mistake" Young people, especially the unmarried. (no offense to the married) Boship's case maybe very extreme but it started somewhat as a usual harmless situation. A boy and girl, flirting and then decided to go the extreme mile on a path that demands mutal commitment of trust and understanding if it was to sustain with love, joy and happiness. The end story tell us otherwise, they were not ready for that commitment. Such examples are not new. I am sure yo...
